Dental trauma in children is a common occurrence, often resulting in crown fractures, mobility, displacement or avulsion. Prompt and effective management is essential to preserve the function, aesthetics, the integrity of the developing dentition and boosting the child’s self-esteem.
This workshop offers a comprehensive overview of teeth repositioning/replanting and splinting techniques. Participants will learn about indications for splinting, types of splints, materials used, duration of splinting and post-splint care. In addition, the workshop will focus on composite buildup for managing fractured anterior teeth in children using clear strip crowns. Participants will gain insights into case selection, shade matching, layering protocols, and finishing/polishing methods tailored for young patients
Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive case discussions, the workshop aims to enhance the participants’ clinical skills and confidence in managing dental injuries in children including the delivery of durable and aesthetically pleasing restorations, ensuring optimal outcomes for young patients.
