The rise of digital dentistry has redefined clinical workflows, enabling dental professionals to plan and deliver treatment with greater precision, speed, and predictability. This session offers a hands-on, practice-focused dive into the digital tools that are transforming the modern dental clinic, including Exocad DentalCAD, Exoplan, Blender for Dental, Atomica AI, 3Shape Implant Studio, and Medit applications.

From prosthetic restoration and full-arch rehabilitation to implant planning, surgical guide design, and virtual patient simulation, digital dental design software empowers clinicians to move seamlessly from scan to smile. Through real-life cases, we will explore how these platforms integrate data from intraoral scanners, CBCTs, and facial scans to produce high-quality, patient-specific designs.

This lecture will guide participants through the digital workflow – from initial data acquisition, case design, collaboration with labs and specialists, to final delivery – highlighting tips, tricks, and pitfalls along the way. With a team of experienced digital dentists and software trainers, the session is a gateway into fully digitized, aesthetically driven, and functionally precise dental care.

Objectives:

1. Understand the digital dental workflow from data acquisition to final prosthetic delivery, including the integration of intraoral scans, CBCTs, and facial scans.

2. Identify and compare the core features and clinical applications of leading digital design software platforms such as Exocad DentalCAD, Exoplan, Blender for Dental, Atomica AI, 3Shape Implant Studio, and Medit applications.

3. Apply digital planning techniques for prosthetic restorations, implant placement, surgical guide design, and full-arch rehabilitations using real-life clinical cases.

4. Demonstrate the use of virtual patient simulations to improve aesthetic and functional outcomes in treatment planning.

5. Recognize key collaboration points between clinicians, technicians, and labs to optimize the digital workflow and enhance treatment outcomes.

6. Identify common challenges and pitfalls in digital case design and learn practical strategies to overcome them.

7. Explore the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing diagnostic accuracy, design efficiency, and clinical decision-making in digital dentistry.
