Dr. Ahmed Elbana is a highly accomplished periodontist and implantologist with over a decade of clinical experience and academic leadership. He currently serves as a Lecturer of Periodontology at Mansoura University, Egypt, where he teaches advanced implant and periodontal therapies, mentors postgraduate students, and leads research on soft tissue augmentation.
A specialist in digital implant dentistry and full-arch rehabilitation, Dr. Elbana has placed over 2,000 implants and integrates guided surgery, CBCT planning, and CAD/CAM workflows using platforms like 3Shape, Medit, and DRGUIDE—his own digital implant planning center. His clinical expertise spans immediate implant placement, soft and hard tissue grafting, esthetic zone rehabilitation, and minimally invasive periodontal surgery.
Dr. Elbana holds a PhD and MSc in Periodontology, with a research focus on soft tissue substitutes and esthetic implant outcomes. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, including BMC Oral Health and ASDJ, and regularly lectures at major conferences such as AEEDC Dubai, IDEX Istanbul, and the DIO International Symposium.
As a course director and mentor, he leads hands-on implantology programs and clinical attachment initiatives for local and international clinicians. His mission is to combine digital innovation with surgical precision to deliver predictable, esthetic, and patient-centered results.
