Farid El-Askary has been a Professor of Operative Dentistry at Ain Shams University since 2012. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University in 1988. He earned his Master’s Degree in Operative Dentistry from Cairo University in 1995 and his Doctorate in Conservative Dentistry from Ain Shams University in 2001. He formerly served as Head of Operative Dentistry Department and Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs Ain Shams University. He was an Honorary Visiting Clinical Lecturer at Sheffield University (2008) and a Specially Appointed Professor at Osaka University (2017). He is a member of the IADR, EADR, and ADM., and a Councillor of IAAD (2023–2025). Since 2006, he has published numerous scientific articles and has supervised over 45 scientific theses. He collaborates with researchers in Egypt and abroad, and is a scientific reviewer for several dental journals.
