Graduated from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University in 1994. Then obtained his Master’s degree and Ph.D. Degree in Conservative Dentistry (Endodontics) from the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, Cairo in 2000 and 2006. 

Currently working as a Professor at the Endodontic department at the British University in Egypt. Director of the Endodontics Master’s and PhD programs, the Dental Science Research Group Lead, and the AI Focus Group Lead at the Health Research Center at the British University in Egypt.

A Key opinion leader for VDW, Septodont, and Woodpecker, an active Board member, and treasurer of the Egyptian Association of Endodontists. IFEA (International Federation of Endodontic Associations) Country Representative. An Editorial board member for the Australian Endodontic Journal, Endodontic Practice Today, BMC Oral Health, The Egyptian Dental Journal, and The PanEndo Journal.

Research interests include tooth morphology and CBCT, Stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative endodontics, endodontic biofilms, pain control, Finite Element Analysis, Vital pulp Therapy, Bioceramics, instruments, and instrumentation. 

Authored and co-authored more than 70 international publications in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals and supervised over 100 Master’s and PhD theses in Endodontics.

Lectured internationally at conferences organized by the European Society of Endodontology, the Arab Society of Endodontology, and the Egyptian Association of Endodontists.
